1. Information We Collect

SnapLink is built with a privacy-first approach. We collect minimal metadata to make URL shortening and redirection work securely:

• Submitted URLs: The original URLs you shorten.
• IP Addresses: We temporarily process IP addresses to enforce rate-limiting and protect against automated abuse. IP addresses are not stored permanently.
• Redirect Analytics: When redirects are processed, we increment the link's click count and record the timestamp. We do not track individual users across visits or build user profiles.

2. Data Retention and KV Database

All shortened link configurations are stored in Cloudflare's secure distributed Key-Value (KV) database. Link data is retained until the configured expiration date (if set) or until manually deleted via the API.

3. Third-Party Services

SnapLink runs entirely on the Cloudflare global network. No third-party tracking databases or analytics systems are integrated. Your traffic data remains confidential and secure within Cloudflare's infrastructure.

4. Cookies

SnapLink does not use cookies for tracking, retargeting, or advertising.

5. User Rights and Data Deletion

If you wish to delete a shortened URL from our system, you can do so using our deletion API endpoint (requires authentication) or contact the site administrator.
